The International Spa Association (ISPA) is an "association of spa professionals" with 3000 members.
The ISPA magazine, Pulse is directed at spa operators and their suppliers and is available only to members, however students and travel agents can request a sample copy in exchange for some demographic information. A job bank can be searched for open positions at member spas. (The search form currently lists over 200 different job titles; to see them all, just leave all the search form fields blank).
ISPA sponsors and sells ($800 for non-members) a periodic study of the spa industry which includes a number of statistics. They also have a page of statistics, including some data on employment.
SpaTrade is the online presence of American Spa magazine. This magazine-format site includes industry news and a bulletin board including job postings and career development information.
The Day Spa Association and its partner the International Medical Spa Association "are the Associations for the Health and Wellness industry." The site includes a job bank (actually a set of links to job banks at other sites) and industry news.
Spa Management is "The world's only spa management journal" and "The only spa trade publication with paid subscribers" and even "The authoritative voice of the spa industry". The site navigation is confusing and it seems to include separate sections for Medical Tourism, Medical spas, and promotions for spa management conferences. A Careers page is "under construction".
Spa Index is what the name says, an advertising index to 7000 spa facilities. The same folks run SpaFlyer, a "blog for spa enthusiasts", and SpaCast "News for Spa Professionals".
Spa Therapy, a part of MPA Media (alternative health care sites), purports to have industry news, but has not been updated since May, 2006.
